February 1, 2013 -- It's a BOY!!!

Well, after beginning our adoption process September 2011 and being matched with an adorable baby boy in 2012 - we are so excited to announce that we are the proud parents of:
Grayson David Miller (Liu, Rung-En)
It has been one of the hardest, yet most blessed year of our lives.  We couldn't be more excited to bring Grayson into our lives as our son!  God has done miracles throughout the whole process and this of course has tested our faith to the core.  This past week was incredibly hard for us, our families, and friends.  It's crazy to think that only 3 days ago, coming home was not a "reality" for us, but God literally moved mountains and the heart of man to get us home.  Even more amazing to this entire story is the fact that  my VISA was only good for 90 days in the country.  We completed our adoption today, which was the 89th day of my stay in Taiwan.  Talk about cutting it close!!!!!!  It doesn't get any more "cringing" than that.  And what better way for God to say, "I am in control".  Below are the details of our last day in Taiwan.  Although we are sad to see parts of this journey coming to an end, we are elated to share our lives with this miracle baby and cannot wait for Grayson to meet all the amazing, Godly people in our lives.

We started our day by leaving the orphanage around 9:00am. We headed to Taipei to the hospital to pick up Grayson's medical clearance paperwork.  We arrived about 10:30am and they had it ready and waiting for us!! YES!! 1st mountain moved today!  Then we headed to the AIT office.  I was really, really nervous because today was an "in-service day" -- meaning they were closed to the public.  Ted called one of the men that work there and he agreed to do our case today, if he boss would sign off on it.  His boss agreed and they told us to come back at 3:00pm to pick it up.  YES!! Another mountain moved!  I was very relieved after they agreed to do it!
After that it was lunch time so we happen to see a "Chicago's Pizza" in a back alley down by the AIT building.  It was the strangest place I have ever seen, but the PLAIN cheese pizza we got was delicious!!!  We even saved some so we could take it back to the hotel tonight.
Ted then dropped us off at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial to look around and we got to see the "Changing of the Guard".  It was awesome!! We even video-taped some of it!  We will have to show you all the videos from everything we saw and learned about over here sometime!  We were there for about 1 hour and then Ted picked us up so we could head back to AIT for the "final paperwork".......... that's when I got really nervous (just praying and hoping all of the paperwork was in order and nothing was missing!).  Ted headed into the office and came out with the "golden envelope" in hand.  We were all so happy, excited, and anxious.  It was like the weight of the world was lifted off.  Thank you Jesus!

We then headed to our hotel in Taipei next to the airport.  It has been really nice to just relax and get ready for tomorrows long flights.   We are sooooooo excited to see Daddy in Chicago and then fly into the Indy airport to see all of our family and friends after 3 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!  I just keep crying thinking about it. (I am apologizing in advance for my "ugly crying" as I know the tears will be flowing out of control).  Our flight should arrive around 8:15pm (Indy time).  We CANNOT WAIT TO SEE YOU ALL!!  Prayers for a good flight and all Grayson's paperwork to be in order would be greatly appreciated! See you all soon! GOD - IS - ABLE!
