Today was an interesting day for so many reasons. Rebekah and Amanda (volunteer nannies) left to fly back to the states. They worked here for 3 months and we already miss them so much! It was very hectic and sad today.
We hurried around all day feeding, changing, and rocking babies. They sounds like a lot of fun, but it's exhausting! To top it all off a lot of the babies had diarrhea. We counted over 30 bad diapers by 7:00pm. It. was. crazy. We are hoping everyone will feel better tomorrow and we can get the flow of the day down.
Grayson was as cute as usual! He is so much fun to be around. Always smiling and giggling. Everyone loves to talk to him because he always smiles at you and then it makes you feel good that you made a baby smile :) :) He's an easy target! I put his Christmas bib that Nana sent over! He loved it - Below is a picture.
He also got to eat his first cracker tonight. He didn't really know if he liked it or not, but thought it was weird eating something like that :) His face was hilarious! He wanted more, but then he couldn't figure out how to eat it.
They are building a new orphanage for the older kids here an began cutting down tree, moving the playground, and clearing some land today. I cannot believe everything they got done! It should take about 1 year to complete. Grayson and I went outside for a while to watch them work. He wasn't sure what to think of all the noise and the concrete drill. :)
Well, another day closer to being home with our families and friends :)
