December 21, 2012 --- PAPERS LOCATED! PRAISE THE LORD!

Wow! I don't even know where to begin how the day went here! So much to write!  My morning started by sending this prayer request to families and friends:
"Just wanted to send a specific prayer request :)
I would like for whoever can to pray at 10:00pm on Thursday night to do so. I have been praying for some type of answers on our paperwork this week and remembered how God wants us to be specific in our prayers. So I have asked God all week for us to have some kind of answer by 11:00am (Friday-here) which is 10:00pm at home. As hard as it is, I do still have faith that God wants me here for something right now - even though I don't understand or necessarily like it. :) Anyway, I am asking for prayers during that time exactly or anytime during the day today :) Ted will be calling the judge tomorrow to ask if there is any new information. Please feel free to pass this along to anyone (friends, family, fb, etc.) that you feel will truly come before God and earnestly pray. Thank you all so much as I know we can never repay you all for the things you all have done for Matt, Grayson, and myself. I will let you all know if I hear anything on Friday."

So this morning Ted came and found me to say that the judge does not arrive on Friday's until 11:00am.  Now, I found this quite interesting because I had asked everyone to pray at that exact time not knowing that was the judge's schedule. When Ted told me this I almost laughed out loud even though I wanted to cry on the inside.  God has such a sense of humor!!!!!!!!  I knew there were so many people praying during that time.  Even though I have faith, I deep down needed some good news to keep me going.  I think God knew that too. :)  I tried to keep myself busy downstairs with the babies and the morning time flew by thank goodness!  Ted told me about 12:30 (lunchtime) that he spoke with the judge and our paperwork has already been seen by the "people" or "judges" in Taipei and it's in the mail to the local judge here in Luo-Dong.  She is expecting the paperwork either today or tomorrow!  She will make a ruling on it and send out our 1st adoption decree - meaning our adoption went through and Grayson is 1 gigantic step towards "officially" becoming our son!  From there, we wait about 1 more week for the final decree to come in. Once we have the first decree we can begin the process to get his passport and medical stuff in order.  I am excited about that because I know the days will go fast!!  Our last thing to do will be our AIT visit.  This is where I will sign on the dotted line that he is our son.  Matt does not have to return to do that as he filled out paperwork the 1st trip :)  The AIT meeting is the last thing before we can fly home!!!  All that to say we will probably be here for another 2 weeks, but now we see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Thank you all for the prayers each and every one of you sent up on our behalf.  I have def. had some moments where I didn't know what to pray -- no words could come out.  I truly relied on all of you some days to pray on our behalf.  I am so grateful we have family and friends that are willing to "step in the gap" for us on the hard days.  So THANK YOU!!!

Whew......moving on to some fun things that happened today:
1.  Went on bike ride to an elementary school out in the country.  It was so cute! Below are some pics!  They had an awesome basketball court that I had to take pics of for Matt!  The ride was beautiful with the majestic mountains all around and the farmland of orange groves.  Just breathtaking! There are some moments that I just look around in awe of the beauty here.
2.  We got a package from Tiffany (my childhood friend).  We have always been so many miles apart but do our very best to keep in touch and have been at each others side through the best and worst life has thrown at us.  She sent us a sweet package of treats, toys, bottles, an owl ornament and card :)  Just made the day that much better!
3.  I fed Grayson some baby food again today. He gets that at breakfast and dinner and bottles in-between.  It was going great until he sneezed and chunks of food sprayed all over my face and clothes.........after my shocked face went away he began laughing :) :) ............stinker!!!!
4. I got to take Grayson on a walk to the lake today in a stroller.  Kelsey went with me as I do not go anywhere by myself even though it seems to be really safe here.  Lesson from my dad :)  The weather was 80 degrees and blues skies! Just Beautiful.

It was probably one of the best days I have had here and much needed.  My mom is coming back to Taiwan on Monday!!!!!!!!!! WOOT!! WOOT!!! Everyone is so excited and of course we could really use the help so please keep her and my family in your prayers as she will leave on Sunday to come back.  She will stay here until our adoption is final and will fly home with me.
Love from Taiwan!

I walk outside to find Kels to go on a bike ride and she is tanning in the middle of the driveway......I busted out laughing :)  After 2 straight weeks of rain, we take in all the sun we can here!

Basketball court at the school! Pretty awesome!.....this pic is for Matt!
 Kids having a "convocation" outside!
 B-ball court again :)
The small village where the school is :) We rode our bikes here about 20 minutes to get here.
My favorite pic I will ever have of Grayson :) He gave me a kiss just as the camera flashed!!!
Love this pic :) Such a happy guy!
Ready for our walk around the lake!!! Grabbed our sun glasses since the sun is shining!
On our walk :) He loved being outside!
This guy was from the "Google" maps company and was riding his back around the and down the streets.  The black things on top are cameras.......very interesting!
