December 1, 2012 - Humbled and Blessed

We know a lot of people. Lindsay and I both have large families. We both have had jobs where we have interacted with a lot of people and make friends with a lot of families. We come from small towns where everyone knows everyone, or you at least know someone who knows someone who knows almost everyone. We are blessed beyond measure. The outpouring of love. The outpouring of hugs. The outpouring of prayers. The outpouring of donated things. The donations to the "airplane" fund. All of those things are greatly appreciated. We wouldn't be going through this journey without them. I can't tell you how humbled I am about everyone's generosity and the love that has been shown. Honestly, I can't believe some of the things that have happened along the way. Some of them are just too unbelievable. God sure has provided for us in one way or another. All of this outpouring has really made me think about what I can do to give back to others because we have been given much. I'm not necessarily speaking about monetary things, but about just how to show love during rough times. How simple an email is to send. How simple a meal is to give away. How easy it is to give away some of your clothes when you have a closet full. How powerful prayers really are.  The benefits of prayer. I'm humbled. I've been knocked off my high horse. I'm not worthy of these things that have been given. Lindsay and I know some amazing people. I pray that they are all blessed as much as we have been during this time.

I don't go a day without someone talking, texting, facebooking, etc. about Grayson. I love to talk about him. It's like he's this famous celebrity and I'm his media relations guy always answering all of the questions from people. I don't mind one bit because he has no idea the people who have already been involved in his life and they've never even seen him in person. If I had a nickel every time someone asks about Grayson, I would have won the equivalent of the Power Ball. For real. I'm not kidding one bit.

Even though Lindsay and Grayson are together in Taiwan and I'm here; It's still okay. I feel that God is in control. We have to remember that all things work together for our good. The trick to that is that it's always in God's timing. He never said it would be easy, just to wait upon the Lord.

Thanks again for all that everyone has done. Really. Thank you. I'm not sure that I can thank some of you enough. The impact of your actions is felt....deep within our hearts. Thank you.

Matt

Here's some pictures that I took while Skyping.
