Whew!!! Thank you so much for the prayers. We can truly feel them!! And God is working miracles today!
We met Grayson's mom and both the grandparents.
The family was sooooo grateful and thanked us many times for taking Grayson. They said they really liked us and we were with them for quite a while this morning. We let them have some time alone with him, which they thought was nice. We all took pictures together so we will have them to show Grayson when he is older. They were so happy for us?!
We went to the courthouse and our case lasted a little over an hour long. It went really well. They let Ted come in the room with us - which I guess never happens so he could hear all of our answers and was able to tell us how it all went. He said the judge was very impressed and really liked our answers. The mom also chose to "waive" her 10 day waiting period. That means that she is certain she wants us to adopt Grayson. It will make the whole process go quicker that way! We still do not have any idea when we will get to come home though.
The next step is to wait for the 1st adoption decree to come to the orphanage. We have no idea on a timeline as every adoption has been different. We are VERY happy and its a huge victory that the mother waived her rights. We are also happy because we had a great "court clerk". I guess there are so me really mean ones there, but we luckily got the nice one :) :)
Ted said it was a great victory and the Lord was good to us :)
Thank you soooooo much to everyone that was praying. It truly couldn't have gone better. Even the orphanage workers said it was the best meeting and outcome they have seen. So thank you all!!!!!!!
Below is the court house, the lake beside the orphanage, and dinner at a Chinese place.
Love from Taiwan!
