November 23, 2012 -- No black friday today :)

Today was a wonderful day here at the orphanage.  I was skyping Matt when I began hearing some Christmas carrols?....after finishing our skype date I went downstairs to find a Christmas tree decorated and everyone sitting around singing songs and hymns.  It was really neat to see everyone just singing to the Lord.

I also had the privilege to meet some adoptive parents Marin and Paulina the last couple of weeks.  I have had some amazing conversations with Paulina especially and we have come to be very close.  I took some pics for her new family here at the orphanage and did some artwork with their pictures.  They were so grateful and are truly amazing people that have a strong desire to serve the Lord.  She left a present on my bed for me to find later, which I did.  She left me a cute Taiwan coffee cup.  I love it and it will always remind me of the bond we will always share as new mothers.

We also got to have Thanksgiving day left-overs!!! That's 2 days in a row I have had an awesome meal! :)
Someday's it is the little things that I have come to be grateful for.  I also traced Grayson's hand today and made a turkey out of it (like something you would do in art class in gradeschool). :)  Below is a pic of it!  I will put it in his scrapbook when we get home!

As the day continued into the night I came downstairs to find a HUGE box for me and Grayson!!  Everyone was so excited for me to open it and "ooooo and awwww!"  The first thing I saw was the bibs that said various things on them like, Nana and Papaw love you, and each bib had someone in our families name on it and a message to Grayson!  What a creative idea!  I started crying and the tears kept rolling as I searched like a kid on Christmas morning opening presents!  I cannot even begin to list everything that was in that box, but I am so thankful for anyone that helped put that together in some way or another.......or even helped pay for the shipping on it!  I can only imagine what that cost!  All of the girls were in aw of how much awesome candy was in there and I informed them they could help me eat it....and they were very excited!  It was such a spirit lifter for me today- you all have no idea.  I gave Grayson a teething ring and he loved it!  I could barely carry the box up the stairs!  I cannot wait to dress him in the clothes you all sent and just everything!  We are so grateful!

Thanks so much for all the notes, emails, and facebook messages we have received!  It's nice to feel a piece of home every day.
