November 13, 2012 -- It's the little things

Today went by really fast.  I was downstairs with the babies around 7:30 this morning and just came up to bed (10pm).  It was a busy day of changing diapers, feeding bottles, and playing with babies!  The weather was beautiful!! The sun was shining all day, but it was't very hot, which was nice.

We had fish again for lunch and dinner.......I think they are trying to kill me :)  For supper they actually had fish, green stuff, and squid!!! yes, there were baby squids on the table.  Amanda and I turned around and walked out of the dining hall, back to my room and got out by microwavable mac and cheese :)  And it was good. :)

My favorite part of the day was rocking Grayson to sleep tonight!  He isn't use to being rocked to sleep at night so we have been working on it :) Tonight he laid right down in my arms and took his bottle and went right to sleep!  Made my heart smile.  He is just so stinkin' cute!

I also saw 2 lizards today running across the ceiling.  I took a pick of one of them.

So as I entered my room tonight and turned on the light I saw a giant cockroach in the middle of the floor!!!!!!  It was about 2 inches long.  I tried to get around it to get my shoe, but it ran into the corner to hide.  I debated on what to do. My friend Amanda walked in so I asked her what the best way to kill a cockroach was.  She said to use a shoe.  Then I explained there was a cockroach in the corner and asked if she could kill it for me :)  She grabbed a flip-flop...........A FLIPFLOP!!!  How ya going to kill a giant cockroach with a flipflop!  I passed her a shoe at which time she told me we only needed "20 seconds of courage".....baahahaha!!! and we began the chase around the room moving luggage and anything it ran behind. We of course were screaming the whole time like little girls --- but it WAS actually freaky! :)

Oh - I forgot to mention that the whole time this is going on I was skyping with Matt.  The video wasn't working so all he could hear was us screaming, laughing, and the sounds of items being thrown around :)
All we heard the whole time was him laughing hysterically..........
So now I have a dead cockroach among a pile of shoes and also a dead centipede beside my bed.......I should sleep very well tonight : /

Just wanted to give you all a glimpse of life in Taiwan :)
