March 31, 2012 - Spring Break Plans

Today we moved everything out of the office to make room for our little bundle of joy someday.  It is our “spring break” this coming week and we are hoping to paint the room and get the vinyl tree put up.  We are just so excited and ready to start moving forward finally and preparing for our little one!  It just amazes me everyday God’s grace and his love for us.  I know he is “lending” us a child and I pray we will do our best to raise him/her in a Godly way.  

March 9, 2012 - Diaper Bag Is In!

Today a diaper bag I ordered from Zulily came in!  I love it :)  I told Matt when I ordered it that it was blue (I didn’t mention it had flowers on it)……oops :)  Enjoying the small victories until our BIG victory comes!

(Hmmmmm. Next time I'll ask for all the details. Hehe!

March 8, 2012 - Vinyl Tree is In!

Tonight Matt picked up the vinyl tree and I got to lay it on the floor and set everything out on it!  It already looks awesome :) I can’t wait to get it up over spring break!.......now we just need the baby!

March 5, 2012 - New Adoption Laws

So I emailed Mandee to see the status of our adoption.  Here is what we found out.

Lindsay,Thanks for checking in. I absolutely would suggest calling to check in with my grandparents. Have I ever given you their phone number? They are just so busy! I believe that Grandpa said your file looked good but I need to be honest with you. Things are not looking good with this new law. As it is looking now then any adoptions that have been started on paper and file with the courts by May 31 can continue on but after that then Taiwan will be in charge of matching couples with babies. So, we are rapidly trying to match couples with babies so we can get through our list before the government stops us. BUT we have to have babies to give to couples. We have no control over the amount of babies that come in these doors :) So be praying!

After getting this email I decided to pick up the phone and call Bev in Taiwan.  We talked for about 10 minutes and she explained the situation and that the government is making it very hard to get these adoptions pushed through in time.  They are changing the “rules” every day and it’s all very confusing.  So at this point we are really upset and frustrated.  It feels like it slipping away and we are starting over again.  We know there are a lot of people praying for us and we still believe God is calling us there.  We have decided to continue our interest in Taiwan until God completely closes the door………….

March 2, 2012 - Handles, Flowers, and a Tree

So we have been working on getting things ready for the baby’s room still.  I went with my mom to get handles for the dressers.  The flowers that will go on the tree also came in and it all looks so good together!  Matt designed the tree that will be on the wall and its pretty amazing – not that I doubted him :)  We are hoping to paint and get the tree up over spring break!
