February 26, 2012 - Dresser Handle Shopping

Today, Kellie and I, went shopping to get handles for the dressers from Hobby Lobby, but they were closed so we went to Michaels.  We got some flowers for the tree that will be in the nursery on the wall.  We worked on them tonight and they turned out great!!!  I can’t wait to put it all together!

February 23, 2012 - Bedding Came Today

IT CAME!!!! :)  and I LOVE it :)  Ummm…..its def. more of a girl bed though…..hope we get a girl?

February 22, 2012 - Baby Bedding Waiting

Suppose to get the baby bedding tomorrow…..not that I am counting down the hours or anything? 

February 21, 2012 - Post Office Divine Appointment

So I am always praying almost daily for God to show me a sign that we are on the right  track with our adoption……Went into the Post Office today and stood there staring at the poster on the counter so long, the lady asked if I was ok.~~ There on a big poster was the “new” stamps that would be coming out as “the stamp of the year”.  What was it you ask?……The Chinese “Year of the Dragon” and a whole series of stamp designs with dragons, Chinese symbols, cherry blossom trees, etc.  Thank you God :)

February 19, 2012 - Diaper Bag

I think I’m losing it!  I just bought a diaper bag……hopefully I will get to use it soon :) 

February 18, 2012 - Trusting God

So it’s been pretty rough the last couple weeks not hearing anything from THOGL and where we are at in the adoption process.  Been doing a lot of soul searching and trying to trust God through it all…….including the silence.  Anyway, after thinking a lot and talking with Staci last night about a lot of things, we decided to “do what we can” and let God take care of the rest.  We’ve decided to move forward with the baby’s room and just pray that it doesn’t sit empty for long.  So we went online to finally order the crib set we have had our eye on for a while now and guess what!!!! It’s on sale today :) I took that as a sign and ordered it!

February 15, 2012 - Verse of the Week

Jesse and Carrie Esworthy did the devo at Middle School Life Groups and Jesse spoke on memorizing certian scriptures. This was the one that we got. This verse has been getting me through the week

“No temptation has seized you, except what is common to man.  And God is faithful.  He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.  But when you are tempted, He will provide a way out so you may stand up under it.”

February 6, 2012 - Still Waiting.....

We are still waiting to hear word that we are on the waiting list.  This seems to be taking forever.

February 1, 2012 - Barrel Nightstand Complete

Tonight we went over to Nathan and Staci’s house to pick up some furniture that Nathan was refinishing for me.  It belonged to my Papaw Cooper so it’s really meaningful to me.  He redid an old barrel and put a “lid” on the top of it to be used as a nightstand.  It turned out awesome :)  I put a doily that Matt’s Great Grandma gave me on the top of it and it’s so cute!!  He also redid a little wooden chair.  I’m not quite sure how I will incorporate that into the room yet, but it’s so exciting getting these little things done!  They turned out great and will mean so much more when we get to bring our baby home :)
